Skonnerten Freia

Danish shipbuilding art’s treasure, the more than 125-year-old riveted steel schooner Freia, has now returned home to Bornholm and is moored in Hasle Harbor. We, on Bornholm, are now responsible for taking care of this fantastic ship and ensuring that it enjoys a good, safe, and dignified retirement.

Follow us on the schooner’s Facebook page, where activities and events are announced. We have work Saturdays about every Saturday and also meet on Wednesdays every 14 days in Hasle’s old council hall.

It is important that you join the association “Freias Venner” to support the project. We need to preserve this Bornholm icon so that everyone can enjoy beautiful sailing along the coasts of Bornholm. As Freia is an association ship, you must be a member of the association to participate in sailings.

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT – The good ship is owned by the non-profit association “Freias Venner”. When you sign up for a personal membership, you support it, but you ONLY bear responsibility for your membership fee and nothing more. The membership follows the calendar year. An extra supporting membership can be signed up for DKK 100,- at the same address. If you want to include sailings as a supporting member, the price is DKK 350,- for an extra member in the household.
